Explanation of how to shop duty-free (consumption tax 8%)
As per routine procedure, consumption tax will be deducted from goods in the case that the below conditions are met.
- Required documents: Passport
- Taxed exempted goods: any taxed goods except film, batteries and other consumable goods
- Value: Over 10,001JPYen
- Attention: please make sure to fill-out the "Record of Purchase of Consumption Tax-Exempt for Export" form attached on a blank VISA page of your passport.
※You are to take your goods out of Japan as hand luggage.
